The Big Figures
If you are looking for large figures in college scholarships,
you can find them here.
At Big Figure Scholarships, our focus is on the
large monies. While others preach that $200 here
and $500 there eventually adds up, we choose to focus
only on the big bucks: $5,000 and up.
Sure, you can put in the time and effort to (maybe)
win a $500 award for a project or essay, with steep
competition nationwide. And let's say you are successful.
Congratulations! But then you'll have to do it again.
And again. And, eventually, 10 times over, you'll have
earned $5,000 in scholarship money.
OR you can find out what it takes to get $5,000 taken
right off the top of your tuition bill.
AND you can get that $5,000 discount EVERY SINGLE YEAR
- not just a one-time award as most of the smaller awards
are.

The Big Bucks
Where does this money come from? From the colleges themselves!
You see, most colleges have thousands of dollars which they
designate as scholarships. In order to attract the type of
students they want on their campuses, they offer the incentive
of a deeply discounted tuition.
Think of it this way:
- If more academically superior students come to their campus
in the first place, then they turn out better graduates.
Superior graduates give the college an excellent reputation.
The school increases its perceived value. They get more
applicants. They can justify higher tuition rates.
- If more students with leadership skills attend their school,
they have more students prepared to get involved in community
events, become leaders in their fields, favorably represent
the college, and increase the college's reputation. The
value of an education at that college increases. More leaders
and potential leaders wish to attend that college.
- If more talented students choose their college at which
to pursue their music, drama, or other fine arts, then the
college has an ongoing talent pool to draw community interest
for concerts, plays, exhibits, etc. The value of an education
at taht college increases. It becomes known for its excellent
music department, drama department, etc. More students wish
to attend. Community patrons give money because they enjoy
attending the concerts, plays, etc.
To make this happen, colleges offer THOUSANDS of dollars
in scholarship money to attract the right type of student
to boost the college's image.
Each college has its own set of criteria - it's own list
of student qualities it looks for.
How will you know if your student is the right fit?
The Big Figure Scholarships database will help you find
out!
Our listings will show you:
- which colleges offer the money
- how much the scholarships are
- what they look for in scholarship applicants
- when you must apply (deadlines come early!)
|
We've done the research for you!
These college scholarships are often not easy to find. Their
treasured details are often buried deep in the college's information
package. Often the scholarships a college offers are not even
revealed to you until AFTER you've already applied. And since
scholarship deadlines come early, you can very easily miss
your chance completely!
The good news:
That big money can be yours if you know where to apply
and know what is required well before going in.
Academic scholarships
Most are academic scholarships. These are usually based
on ACT/SAT scores and grades in high school. Many colleges
offer such scholarships in the thousands of dollars. Many
even provide full tuition scholarships. And a few also provide
for the cost of room and board and books - the very rare,
but certainly available, "free ride" many are
hoping for.
Talent scholarships
Although not as abundant as academic scholarships, there
are also those that are based on talents: Music scholarships,
drama or theatre scholarships, and scholarships based on
leadership, dance, or some other talent. These we list as
well. Since most talent scholarships offer less than $5000
a year, you'll find fewer of these in our listings.
What does it take to qualify for the big bucks?
Colleges differ in their minimum qualifications.
Are you planning to attend College "A"? What if
you knew that College "B" offered a big scholarship
for which you qualified? Might you consider applying there
instead?
If so, then you'll need to know - well ahead of time - which
colleges offer what monies at what minimum qualifications.
This is the goal of Big Figure Scholarships:
- To provide you with the knowledge you need to
lessen the cost of college.
- To help you know where to apply so that you have
a greater chance at getting the big money.

So if you're looking for those big bucks,
You'll need to know which colleges offer them.

Our Story
We could not afford to send our child to college.
We had an excellent student, with a well-defined
career goal which required higher education. Unfortunately,
her program of study was not offered by any state
school in our state. For her to pursue her chosen
profession and intended field of study, we would
have to send her to a private or out-of-state
college.
We simply could not afford it.
Then we discovered the Big Figure Scholarships.
That's what I call them, anyway.
Suddenly, instead of looking at pricey tuition,
we began examining how big a discount we could
receive off tuition.
The research took hours. And hours.
But we were successful. Our child eventually received
a scholarship worth $68,000, which provided 75%
off tuition at a prestigious private college.
With her major.
Over the course of a year, we probably spent
about 100 hours in research to find this scholarship.
Are you prepared to put in that time to find the
big figures for your student?
Do you even know how to proceed?
Let us help you find
the Big Figure Scholarships.
